Tropical Storm Nicholas is expected to make landfall in Texas tonight. Eric Blake with the National Hurricane Center says forecasts show it could reach hurricane strength before that happens.
Mississippi and Louisiana will see their chances of potentially flooding rains increase midweek as the remnants of the system move east.
