A West Jones High School senior was tragically killed in a car crash on his way to school Wednesday morning.
The student has been identified by members of the community as 18-year-old Cade Thompson.
Thompson, a member of the West Jones High School football team, died at the scene following the crash that involved a school bus carrying middle school students.
According to WDAM, Thompson’s pickup truck crashed into the back of the bus on Roy Jefcoat Road. None of the students on board were injured.
