For the 14th year in a row, the Department of Veteran’s Affairs is recognizing the Mississippi Gulf Coast as a National Veteran’s Day Regional Site.  Only 33 sites were chosen across the country, and this is the only one in our state.

The Veteran’s Day Parade will kick off at 11a.m. Saturday (Nov 6th) in downtown Biloxi, starting on the corner of Howard Avenue at Bellman Street, and end at Lameuse Street and Hwy 90.

This year’s parade honors the mission of all military and Veteran medical first responders.

The lineup includes military personnel from the Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps and Air National Guard. Veterans from World War II, Korea, Vietnam, Desert Storm, Desert Shield, and Operations Iraqi Freedom and Enduring Freedom are participating. High school bands, Boy Scout troops and JROTC troops will also be in attendance for the celebration.
