A Wiggins man is facing 20 years in prison and a $250-thousand fine after pleading guilty to transportation of child pornography.  Charles Ezekiel Spangler was identified by the FBI as part of Project Safe Childhood, a nationwide initiative aimed at combating the growing epidemic of child sexual exploitation and abuse.

According to court documents, Charles Ezekiel Spangler, 38, was identified by the FBI when they received information from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children that he uploaded pictures of minors engaging in sexually explicit conduct via the internet to his Tumblr account in June of  2018.

Led by the United States Attorneys’ Offices and the Criminal Division’s Child Exploitation and Obscenity Section, Project Safe Childhood marshals federal, state, and local resources to locate, apprehend, and prosecute individuals who sexually exploit children, and to identify and rescue victims.
