Black Rodeo is coming back to Jackson after prior cancelation

The 19th annual Black Rodeo is set to come to the capital city once again after announcing the event’s cancelation one week ago.

According to a Facebook post from the Real Cowboy Association, the reason was due to “previous incidents on the Fairgrounds,” eluding to the mass shooting that took place at the Mudbug Festival on April 30.

Now, the event is back on according to organizers, stating that the rodeo is still planned to come to the Mississippi State Fairgrounds once again on July 16.

Tickets go on sale today at noon on Ticketmaster, so make sure to grab yours before they’re gone.
