Mississippi Gulf Coast Billfish Classic to be broadcasted on CBS Sports

The Mississippi Gulf Coast Billfish Classic (MGCBC) has proven to be one of the best fishing tournaments in America, and it’s finally getting that recognition. 

On Saturday from 7-9 a.m. CT, the catch and release portion of the event will be broadcasted live on CBS Sports. 

“Coastal Mississippi is going to be on national television,” MGCBC Event Director Robbie Carter said. “What we’re promoting on CBS is the sporting, team aspect of these events and also highlighting the catch and release of these billfish species.”

80-90 teams will be competing in the categories of blue marlin, tuna, wahoo, and dolphin with up to $2 million available in cash payouts. To find out more about the 26th annual Mississippi Gulf Coast Billfish Classic, the full interview with Carter can be watched below.
