The Mississippi Department of Transportation (MDOT) is looking to procure funding for Electric Vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure to be available across the state through the National Electric Vehicle Infrastructure (NEVI) Formula Program.
NEVI grants funds to states that form a plan for EV charging infrastructure implementation and establish an interconnected network for data collection, access, and reliability.
To receive the funding, MDOT must submit an EV infrastructure development plan by August 1 to the Federal Highway Administration including topics such as charging infrastructure deployment, existing and future conditions, and public engagement.
Those interested in commenting on the 2022 Electric Vehicle Infrastructure Deployment Plan can fill out the public opinion survey until July 15.
