MSDH reports 3,240 new COVID-19 cases

COVID-19 is continuing to cycle through the magnolia state according to the Mississippi State Department of Health’s latest report confirming 3,240 new cases from Independence Day weekend.

Tuesday’s update brings the state’s total number of cases to 839,997. With one additional death, the complete number of Mississippians who have passed as a result of the virus is now 12,527. Additionally, there are currently 165 ongoing outbreaks in long-term care facilities.

As of June 21, the total number of Mississippians who have been fully vaccinated is 1,554,082.
