Three-time Olympic medalist Brittney Reese is coming back to her hometown after being named the newest coach of the girls track team at Gulfport High School.

Reese first began her road to success after becoming a state champion for the Gulfport Admirals in the high jump, long jump, and triple jump before graduating in 2004.

Following her big wins for her alma mater, Reese gained the titles of World Champion, NCAA Outdoor Champion, SEC Women’s Field Athlete of the Year, and Olympic Gold Medalist.

Now, the record-breaking medalist is planning to serve as Developing Coordinator for the school’s indoor track program and lead the girls cross country and track teams.
