The Mississippi State Department of Health reported 2,597 new cases of COVID-19 on Monday.
The three-day total brings the state’s total number of cases to 886,062. With 11 additional deaths, 12,695 Mississippians have now passed away from the virus. Additionally, there are currently 194 ongoing outbreaks in long-term care facilities.
Mississippi is averaging 1,190 daily cases over the last week, a 16% decrease from two weeks ago. As of Monday, 1,557,781 Mississippi residents were fully vaccinated.
