Following a wild weekend of college football in which seven ranked teams lost, Ole Miss has jumped two spots in the latest Associated Press rankings.
The Rebels, who may have found their starting quarterback moving forward, defeated FCS opponent Central Arkansas by a score of 59-3 Saturday night. Next up for Lane Kiffin’s squad will be their first Power Five matchup of the season when they face off against Georgia Tech in Atlanta.
As for Mississippi State, there was a growing belief throughout the day Saturday that the Bulldogs would crack the Top 25 as ranked teams continued to fall. However, a 39-17 win over Arizona wasn’t enough to push the Bulldogs into this week’s rankings.
