One man has died after three workers fell into a soybean bin at a farm near Itta Bena.

On Thursday, 20-year-old Eugene Nicholas and two unnamed men were retrieved from the metal storage container at TT&W Farm Products after falling in while working.

Nicholas was removed from a hole cut at the base of the bin after five hours, with Leflore County Coroner Debra Sanders later confirming his death at 3:20 p.m. The other two workers were airlifted to the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson to be treated for their injuries.

At this time, investigators have not released what caused the workers to fall.
