The United States Coast Guard is searching for four people after a helicopter crashed into the Gulf of Mexico roughly 10 miles off the Louisiana Coast Thursday afternoon.
According to officials with the Coast Guard, the helicopter was reportedly in the process of departing an oil platform when it crashed. The cause of the crash has not been released.
WLOX has confirmed that one of the helicopter’s passengers was David Scarborough, 36, of Lizana, Miss.
