MSDH confirms 9,662 new COVID-19 cases in two-week update

On Tuesday, the Mississippi State Department of Health confirmed 9,662 new COVID-19 cases.

The 14-day update brings the state’s total number of cases since the onset of the pandemic to 970,585. With 39 additional deaths, 13,151 Mississippians have passed away as a result of the virus. Additionally, there are currently 153 ongoing outbreaks in long-term care facilities.

Mississippi is currently averaging 690 cases per day, which is a 16% decrease from two weeks ago.
