On Wednesday night, Mississippiβs private school basketball champions were crowned.
On the girlsβ side, Madison Ridgeland Academy defeated Presbyterian Christian School 42-29 for the programβs third overall championship since 2007.

Ella Wesley Davis led the Lady Patriots with 15 points while PCS’s Addyson Sherer finished with a game-high 22 points.
On the boysβ side, 6A Jackson Prep (30-6) pulled off the 58-46 upset over 4A Clinton Christian Academy (40-5). After losing to the Warriors two times during the regular season, the Patriots utilized tough defense and a balanced offense to get the win when it mattered most.

Konnor Griffin (15 points), Ben Segrest (13 points), Luke Segrest (12 points), and William Laird (10 points) all contributed for the Patriots. For the Warriors, KJ Sykes (13 points) and Trey Alexander (12 points) led the way.
