Body of Ebony Owens, mother-of-two believed to have been killed by husband, found in river

The search for Ebony Owens has come to an end after the Edwards mother-of-two’s body was found in the Big Black River Saturday.

Hinds County Sheriff Tyree Jones confirmed the news via Twitter.

Ebony Owens, 36, was reported missing on Wednesday, March 15 after not showing up for work. Her car was later found burnt up near her and her husband’s home, prompting officials to question Michael Owens and search the couple’s residence.

Upon investigation, Michael, 36, was charged with murder, arson, sexual battery of a minor, and sexual assault of a minor.
