Suspects arrested after 45 car burglaries in Oxford

Three men believed to be behind a combined 45 car break-ins in Oxford have been arrested.

Dewayne Pegues, 19, is facing 32 counts of auto burglary. Javonteze Johnson, 21, is facing 12 counts of auto burglary, while Demarcus Govan, 19, is facing one count of auto burglary. All three individuals are Oxford natives.

According to Oxford Police, the burglaries happened across a span from May to June on or near Anchorage Road, Anderson Road, Beanland Drive, and Sardis Road.

Police added that one arrest led to the other two. At this time, court dates have not yet been released.
