As wintery weather hits the state, all government offices except one will be closed on Monday.
The outlier is the Mississippi State Capitol as lawmakers in both the House and the Senate are scheduled to gavel in at 4 p.m. for week three of the legislative session.

In and around Jackson, where the capitol is located, the chances of freezing rain are the highest at 6 p.m., so expect lawmakers to be out the door by then. Gov. Tate Reeves issued a state of emergency on Sunday in anticipation of the cold snap.
