An on-duty police officer in Columbus has been arrested for shoplifting.
Robin Conners, 33, was wearing her badge on Wednesday when she walked into a Dick’s Sporting Goods and allegedly stole from the store.
Her peers were called to Dick’s at 12:30 p.m. and arrested Conners before booking her into the Lowndes County Adult Detention Center at 1 p.m. on charges of shoplifting less than $1,000.
Conners’ court date is set for April 4.
