New amphitheater in Gautier to open with KC & The Sunshine Band on April 12

Gautier’s new amphitheater is almost open and ready to rock.

The Sound, located on Dolphin Drive just north of where the Singing River Mall once stood, seats 8,000 and is expecting a full house when its inaugural concert happens on April 12. Breaking in the stage will be KC & The Sunshine Band.

According to The Sound’s website, they’ve already booked out five additional 2024 dates:

  • April 19: Jason Isbell and the 400 Unit with North Mississippi Allstars
  • May 24: Justin Moore with Chris Cagle
  • September 6: Sam Hunt
  • September 28: Melissa Etheridge and Jewel

Other show dates that are in the works are August 4 and August 16 with performers to be announced in the coming weeks. Tickets for KC & The Sunshine Band, Jason Isbell and the 400 Unit, Justin Moore, and Etheridge and Jewel will go on sale Friday. The on-sale date to see Sam Hunt is currently in the works.
