Blue Delta Jean Company has announced that its operations are growing by nearly double.
The custom jean company was started in Tupelo in 2012 by co-founders Josh West and Nick Weaver. Through steady growth over the last 12 years, they’ve remained committed to the neighborhood where they began.
This week, Blue Delta announced the $1.5 million purchase of the building it currently leases in Lee County – enabling the addition of 10,000 square feet of usable space. It will also be used to bolster infrastructure at the plant.
The investment was made possible in part by property tax incentives from Lee County, as well as a low-interest business loan from the Mississippi Development Authority. Construction is expected to be completed in about six months.
Blue Delta Jeans employs more than 70 local artisans and seamstresses in the production of their apparel.
