There’s a new time slot for the annual Egg Bowl between Ole Miss and Mississippi State.
First reported by Mississippi State alum Ross Dellenger of Yahoo Sports, the rivalry game is moving from Thanksgiving to Black Friday. This year’s kickoff is set for 2:30 p.m. CT on ABC, which will inevitably turn into a larger TV audience.

The battle for the Golden Egg became a holiday tradition in recent years, being played on Thanksgiving day for the past seven seasons and 23 times total. Overall, the Rebels boast a 65-46-6 lead over the Bulldogs and won the most recent contest, 17-7.
Ole Miss will host this year’s Egg Bowl at Vaught-Hemingway Stadium in Oxford.
