An investigation has been launched after an officer-involved shooting in Biloxi left one dead.
On Saturday around 1 a.m., Biloxi Police officers were responding to a call for service on Lakeview Boulevard. The Mississippi Bureau of Investigation (MBI) noted that when officers got there, they encountered an armed 42-year-old Jason Moore.
Moore was apparently pointing a gun at police, and that’s when officers discharged their weapons striking Moore. The subject was transported to a local hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.
No injuries are being reported on the side of law enforcement. MBI is currently assessing the incident and gathering evidence.
