Another record alligator has been caught in Mississippi.

According to the Mississippi Department of Wildlife, Fisheries, and Parks, Jason Ullendorf pulled in the largest female alligator on state record. The massive reptile was over 11 feet, 3/4 inches long, and was caught in the Pascagoula River on Saturday.

The gator shatters the record for a female set in 2022 when the 10-foot, 2-inch “Yellow 410” was caught five miles north of the Ross Barnett Reservoir.

Ullendorf’s alligator broke another record weighing in at 324 pounds. Its belly girth was 37 inches and its tail girth was 32 inches. While data is slim, MDWFP officials noted that Ullendorf’s haul may also be the biggest female alligator ever caught in the world.
