As educational institutions and athletics programs continue to alter schedules as Francine rolls through Mississsippi, now as a lesser tropical depression, Millsaps College is the latest to announce a change in two of its previously scheduled sporting events.
The Majors’ football and women’s soccer programs have moved games due to the impact Francine left on the football team’s opponent.
Millsaps football will now be hosting John Melvin University at Harper Davis Field for a 3 p.m. kickoff on Sunday. That contest was previously set to take place on Saturday. John Melvin University is located in Crowley, La., and was in the direct path of Hurricane Francine.
To adjust for the date change on the gridiron, the Majors’ women’s soccer team will now host Tougaloo College an hour earlier at 11 a.m. on Sunday.
All other Millsaps volleyball and women’s soccer dates and times remain unchanged on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. Each game will be broadcast on the Millsaps Sports Network and live stats can be followed here.
