The Mississippi Public Service Commission has announced plans for its upcoming Propane Summit, an opportunity for commissioners and industry officials to engage with key experts in the propane sector.

Scheduled for Tuesday, Sept. 24, from 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., the Propane Summit will be held at the MSPC Courtroom inside the Woolfolk Building in downtown Jackson. The free event will include representatives from the Mississippi Insurance Department, the Mississippi Liquefied Compressed Gas Board, and Coombs Gas, a leading business in the industry.

According to a news release, the summit aims to provide valuable insights into the propane industry, focusing on regulatory practices and operational perspectives. Attendees will have the chance to hear from those who oversee the industry as well as those who operate within it, drawing a full picture of the propane landscape in Mississippi.

“We are thrilled to bring together such an esteemed group of speakers at the Propane Summit,” an official statement from the MSPC reads. “This event is a fantastic opportunity for learning and discussion about the vital role propane plays in our state, and we encourage everyone to join us.”
