Forecasts show a partly sunny day with the possibility of rain in much of Mississippi. Here’s your statewide forecast from the National Weather Service.
Northern Mississippi
The day should start with sunshine before a chance of showers moves in. There will be a slight chance of thunderstorms in the afternoon. Highs will be in the mid-80s before dropping to the low 60s after nightfall. The possibility of storms will continue after the sun goes down.
Central Mississippi
There will be a chance of showers during both the morning and afternoon hours with sunshine expected at points throughout the day. Highs will be in the lower 90s before dropping into the mid-60s later in the evening. The possibility of rain will continue during the nighttime hours.
Southern Mississippi
It’s looking like a mostly sunny day with a slight chance of showers. Highs will be in the low 90s with temperatures dropping into the 70s once the sun goes down. Some thunderstorms could pop up during the nighttime hours.
