A Mississippi man is behind bars following a drug bust conducted by multiple law enforcement agencies.

On Wednesday, authorities executed a search warrant at 369 Liberty Church Road in Nettleton. Johntavious Javoun Lipsey was detained at the scene.

While police were searching the residence, a minor was found in Lipsey’s bedroom. Authorities also discovered 1,900 dosage units of fentanyl pills, marijuana, and a firearm. The fentanyl pills were reportedly located within close proximity of the juvenile.

Lipsey is charged with trafficking a Schedule II controlled substance, felony possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, and child endangerment. Both drug charges are enhanced by the presence of a firearm.

Itawamba Justice Court Judge Harold Holcomb denied Lipsey’s bond. This case will be presented to the next available grand jury for indictment. More arrests are possible in connection with the drug bust.

Deputies with the Itawamba County Sheriff’s Department, agents with the North Mississippi Narcotics unit, deputies with the Chickasaw County Sheriff’s Department, officers with the Amory Police Department, and officers with the Fulton Police Department collaborated in searching Lipsey’s home.
