Lowndes County man arrested after allegedly stabbing someone over video game

A video game session turned violent in Mississippi on Monday when one of the gamers is said to have stabbed the other.

According to the Lowndes County Sheriff’s Office, 31-year-old Leandrae Richey stabbed the unidentified victim after an argument ensued over the football video game they were playing. Witnesses confirmed that Richey fled the scene but surrendered to police on Tuesday morning.

The incident happened at a home in the 1400 block of Drake Circle in New Hope.

While Richey was booked on one charge of aggravated assault, the victim had to be transported to a local hospital where they underwent surgery for their injuries.
