A slew of players from both Millsaps College and Belhaven University earned honors from their respective Division III conferences at the recent conclusion of the 2024 season.
Starting with the Majors, who play in the Southern Athletic Association, 11 standouts were voted onto All-SAA teams. Headlined by junior linebacker Nehemiah Coalson, the following players were given the nod:

- CB/KR W.H. Carver (Honorable Mention)
- DL Myles Johnson (Honorable Mention)
- DL Nathan Johnson (Honorable Mention)
Millsaps’ Brandon Lechtenberg was named SAA Coach of the Year after a quick turnaround on State Street. In year one as head coach, Lechtenberg paired a bevy of freshman talent with returning veterans to lead the team to a 5-5 record – its most wins since 2019.

Down Riverside, Belhaven notched 10 players on All-USA South teams. The Blazers, who also went 5-5 in 2024, were led by four first-teamers, four second-teamers, and two receiving honorable mentions:

Both teams will now gear toward the offseason with winter workouts and recruiting visits already underway. Per tradition, the two will take on each other in next season’s opening game with that date set to be announced soon.
