Another bout of winter weather has covered the Magnolia State in frigid temperatures as Winter Storm Enzo rolls across the southeastern U.S. Many schools in the state will close ahead of expected dangerous conditions due to ice and snow.
The National Weather Service in Jackson is forecasting as much as four inches of snow from central to south Mississippi, moving many academic officials to close their doors in anticipation of dangerous roadways.
We have trimmed things back a bit on the north side amid a trend south. But snow is still expected for the southern half. Greatest snow amounts are expected across southern areas. Even light snow amounts, under an inch, in these very cold temperatures will cause travel issues. pic.twitter.com/YMB47zdFvh
