Nearly 20 people are facing felony drug charges in connection with the work of a multi-agency collaboration in south Mississippi.
Operation “Rotten Egg,” a partnership between the Mississippi Bureau of Narcotics’ Gulfport District Office, in conjunction with the Coastal Narcotics Enforcement Team, the FBI Safe Streets Task Force, and local law enforcement agencies, has successfully executed a coordinated effort targeting drug trafficking and gang activity in Jackson and George counties.

This initiative involved 31 undercover drug purchases and resulted in the seizure of significant quantities of illegal narcotics, including 390.47 grams of methamphetamine, 86 dosage units of hydrocodone, and 38 dosage units of oxycodone.
In addition to the previously seized narcotics, approximately 232 additional grams of methamphetamine and multiple firearms were recovered during the arrest phase of this operation.
