U.S. News & World Report has handed Belhaven University a pair of prestigious awards for the school’s undergraduate online programs.

The publication included the Jackson higher learning institution on its 2025 Best Online Programs list in the categories of Best Online Bachelor’s Programs and Best Online Bachelor’s Programs for Veterans.

“At Belhaven, our Christ-centered mission drives us to help every student reach their God-given potential while surrounding them with care and support,” Belhaven President Dr. Roger Parrott said.

“These awards reflect the exceptional commitment of our faculty and staff in creating a robust and nurturing learning environment for all students, whether on campus or online. I’m especially proud of our efforts to serve our veteran students, who have served us all so faithfully.”

U.S. News marked the Belhaven programs as among America’s best through measuring graduation rates, faculty credentials, and the availability of student support services. Other institutions recognized alongside Belhaven include the University of North Carolina, Texas A&M University, and Arizona State University.

“This recognition highlights the tremendous value of an online degree from Belhaven University,” Suzanne Sullivan, vice president for university enrollment and marketing, said. “Being honored by U.S. News & World Report underscores our position as a leader in online education and shows our commitment to serving a diverse range of students.”

Belhaven was a pioneer in the online education space, launching its first fully online degree program in 2006. The school’s digital degree offerings have since expanded to cover a wide range of both undergraduate and graduate degrees.

The recognition follows private college counterpart William Carey’s College of Osteopathic Medicine being named one of the best graduate schools of medicine in America for 2025.
