The stage is set, and three college softball programs representing Mississippi will vie for a national title in the upcoming NCAA Tournament.

On Sunday, Mississippi State, Ole Miss, and Jackson State were featured among the 64 clubs looking to achieve glory this season. Here is where the trio of Magnolia State teams will continue their postseason campaigns:

Mississippi State

The Bulldogs (37-17) were tabbed as the No. 2 seed in the Lubbock regional. Samantha Ricketts’ crew will take on No. 3 seed Washington in a double-elimination showdown on Friday at 7 p.m. CT. The contest will be aired on ESPN2.

Depending on the outcome of both opening matchups of the regional, the Bulldogs could face either host team, Texas Tech, or No. 4 seed Brown next. No stranger to the Red Raiders, Mississippi State defeated Texas Tech 3-1 in the season opener.

Ole Miss

Jamie Trachel’s club will be heading west as the No. 2 seed in the Tucson regional. The Rebels (37-17) will battle against No. 3 seed Grand Canyon on Friday at 9 p.m. CT. The matchup will air on ESPNU.

Depending on how Friday’s games shape up, the Rebels will either take on host club Arizona or No. 4 seed Santa Clara in the follow-up contest.

Jackson State

After winning back-to-back SWAC championships, the Tigers (29-23) are back in the NCAA Tournament. Kevin Montgomery’s club is featured as the No. 4 seed in the Tuscaloosa regional. Jackson State will have the chance to oust host team Alabama on Friday at 5 p.m. CT.

The Tigers will face either No. 2 seed Virginia Tech or No. 3 seed Belmont in their second game of their second game of the regional.
