Northern Mississippi
A mostly sunny day is ahead with highs in the lower to mid 90s. Heat index readings could land between 104 and 109 degrees. There’s a slight chance to showers and thunderstorms in the afternoon and evening. Come nighttime, clear skies are expected with lows in the lower to mid 70s.
Central Mississippi
There’s a chance of showers and thunderstorms throughout the day, but lots of sunshine is still expected. Highs will be in the mid 90s, with heat index readings between 104 and 109 degrees. Come nighttime, it will be mostly clear with a chance of rain. Lows will be in the lower 70s.
Southern Mississippi
After some patchy fog and a small chance of rain in the morning, it will be sunny with highs in the lower to mid 90s. Heat index readings will be between 101 and 106. Afternoon and evening showers cannot be ruled out. Come nighttime, clear skies are expected with lows in the lower 70s.
