The Mississippi State Department of Health is reporting 984 new cases of COVID-19.
The latest report brings the state’s total up to 285,648. With the confirmation of 39 additional deaths, *6,429 Mississippians have now passed away from the virus.
*MSDH Note: 28 COVID-19 related deaths occurred between December 10 and February 6, identified from death certificate reports.
Overall hospitalizations have continued to decline through the month of February, now dropping to 645.
Currently, Mississippi has administered 392,391 doses of the vaccine. As of Monday, 253,140 Mississippians have recovered from COVID-19.
