One Mississippi lottery player got a lovely surprise on Valentine’s Day when they won $116,403 off a three-dollar ticket.
The wining ticket, which was purchased at JP Quick Stop in Crystal Springs, matched all five numbers to secure the Mississippi Match 5 jackpot.
It’s the first time someone has won the Mississippi Match 5 jackpot since Jan. 23 when a McComb player walked away with $265,197. The daily game’s prize money will now reset to $50,000.
In a press release, the Mississippi Lottery Corporation reminded players that the next “Green for Spring” promotional drawing is set for Monday, Feb. 19. People can sign up by becoming a lottery insider or by scanning QR codes at participating locations. Prizes for the upcoming drawing will be $15,000, $10,000, and $5,000.
