2 Jackson police officers placed on administrative leave after fight with Walmart employee

A pair of Jackson police officers are in hot water after being arrested in connection with a physical altercation at Walmart in Ridgeland over the weekend.

According to a release from the Jackson Police Department, officers Jordan Lewis and Terrinesheya Dampeer were placed on administrative leave after being arrested for disorderly conduct. The two were reportedly involved in a fight with a Walmart employee on Saturday around 9:30 p.m.

Police in Ridgeland took the two officers and the unidentified store employee into custody. The two Jackson officers were off-duty at the time of the incident.

Lewis and Dampeer will remain on administrative leave until law enforcement authorities wrap up their investigation into the altercation.
