A more than $30 million tourist attraction has broken ground in Natchez.
Magnolia Trace RV resort will allow Mississippians and those traveling from other parts of the country to enjoy the natural beauty of Natchez from the comforts of a space rife with entertaining activities.
United Unwind, LLC senior partner and manager Jonathan Starns joined a recent episode of MidDays With Gerard Gibert to give us a look at what all the resort will entail. According to Starns, the site will feature amenities such as:
- Treetop ropes courses
- A disc golf course
- An amphitheater
- A mini golf course
- Pickleball courts
The park will not be RV-exclusive. Starns noted that there will be numerous cabins on site as well as enough space for all kinds of lodging shelters.
“We will service all types of campers — everything from the premium luxury coaches down to the class A, class B, and class C travel trailers,” Starns said. “Based on short-term rental, we want you to come enjoy a weekend, enjoy a week, or stay for a month if you want.”
Developers are also looking to preserve the natural beauty of the area while also providing visitors with the conveniences showcased at five-star resorts nationwide.
“We really wanted to focus in on a development style that would allow us to create the nostalgic wide open spaces, lots of green space, natural areas, those types of things, but still have all of those upscale modern amenities that you would experience at a newer, modernized park, Starns added.
Phase one of the project will consist of 137 RV spaces and 10 cabin spaces. Construction is set to begin soon with the first portion of the development expected to come to fruition sometime in 2025.
