Four teenagers have been taken into custody for a fatal Thanksgiving Eve shooting at a Columbus convenience store.
First reported by WTVA, Columbus Police Chief Joseph Daughtry has confirmed that four suspects — identified as 17-year-old Johnny Coleman, 17-year-old Kenzel Guyton, 18-year-old Tavaris Mixon, Jr., and 17-year-old Rasheed Neal — were arrested for a Wednesday night shooting outside the Ready Mart store on North McCrary Rd.
The gunfire ultimately took the life of 17-year-old Labronze Moore, who succumbed to his injuries at the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson on Saturday around 12 p.m.
Nearly 30 bullet casings were reportedly found at the scene of the shooting. All four suspects are charged with murder. They will be tried as adults.
More arrests are expected as authorities continue to investigate, according to Daughtry.
