5 injured after Mississippi plane crashes in Texas

Five people are injured after a Mississippi plane crashed into a group of cars in Texas.

The crash happened Wednesday in Victoria, just outside of Houston, when the plane dipped and eventually hit three cars on the roadway. Per a report from WLBT, all five victims – one of whom was confirmed as the pilot – are being treated for their injuries.

The TV station also found that the plane’s aircraft registration number came back to MARC, INC. Located in Hinds County, the Bolton-based company serves as a contract flight service, according to its website that touts being “North America’s largest provider of specialized contract aircraft and flight crews for airborne GIS, survey and surveillance projects.”

As of now, names of those injured have not been released. The Federal Aviation Administration is expected to issue a preliminary accident report on Thursday.
