Amid high prices, Pearl convenience store to offer $1.76 gas on Friday

Central Mississippians will soon have the chance to pump cheap fuel into their vehicles at a gas station set to open in Pearl soon.

First reported by WJTV, folks will be able to fill up their tanks for just $1.76 at the brand new 76 gas station on Pearson Road during the business’ grand opening on Friday. The offer is available for regular unleaded fuel between 11:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.

According to AAA, the average for a gallon of regular fuel across the U.S. is $3.46, and in Mississippi, it’s $2.95. The promotion offered by 76 will help ease a financial burden on people looking to save a few bucks at the pump. Those in line by 5 p.m., but unable to get to a pump by the time the pump expires. will receive the discount fuel offer. In addition to the gas special, the station’s “Fill UP” convenience store will offer a myriad of family-friendly activities including live music, food, a meet and greet hosted by the Pearl High School Pirates football team, as well as raffles.
