Officials are investigating after a woman was discovered lying in the road dead in Hinds County on Saturday morning.
The woman, whose body was found on Terry Road near Lebanon Pine Grove Road, has been identified as Joy Marie Foster. Foster, 33, of Pelahatchie, was wearing a Hinds Community College t-shirt and a Puckett High School jacket at the time of her death.
Sheriff Tyree Jones said that there were visible signs of injuries on Foster’s body, but the cause of death remains unknown at this time.
