One Biloxi man claimed a $50,000 prize after matching four out of five white balls and the Powerball during Saturday night’s drawing.
According to the ticketholder, he enjoys playing Powerball and has played the same numbers since the 1980s. The winning ticket was purchased from Bridges Quickie #1 on Highway 469 S. in Florence.
The grand prize winner did not purchase the Powerplay option of 4, which would have increased his win to $200,000 for $1.
As of now, the tonight’s Mega Millions jackpot has increased to an estimated $259 million with an estimated cash value of $131.4 million, while the Mississippi Match 5 jackpot is now worth $474,000. Wednesday’s Powerball jackpot is now up to an estimated $30 million with an estimated cash value of $15.3 million.
The Mississippi Lottery office in Flowood will be closed Thursday, November 24, and Friday, November 25, in observance of Thanksgiving Day. Offices will reopen Monday, November 28.
