Biloxi Shuckers ballpark officially renamed Keesler Federal Park

Over a month after we originally broke the news that Keesler Federal Credit Union had won the naming rights to the former MGM Park in Biloxi, reports indicate that the deal has been made official by Keesler and the city.

The stadium, which is home to the MiLB’s Biloxi Shuckers, will take on the name of Keesler Federal Park, according to WLOX. With the ink dried, Keesler successfully ousted Shuckers Baseball, LLC for the stadium’s title sponsorship.

The offer put on the table by Keesler was $150,000 per year – $25,000 more than what the city of Biloxi was initially hoping for – over five years. Shuckers Baseball, LLC offered $90,000 per year over 10 years to name the ballpark Shuckers Stadium.

Three weeks into the 2024 MiLB season, Keesler will now receive signage on both entrances as well as on top of the scoreboard. The Shuckers are set to be Mississippi’s lone minor league team once the Mississippi Braves move from Pearl to Columbus, Ga., following the current season.
