Biloxi stadium looking for new title sponsor as MGM phases out

posted in: Mississippi News | 0

The city of Biloxi has opened up the bidding process for naming rights of the downtown minor league baseball stadium formerly known as MGM Park.

City officials are looking to find a new sponsor for the Biloxi Shuckers, the Double-A affiliate of the Milwaukee Brewers, after MGM dropped its sponsorship at the conclusion of the 2023 season.

For interested applicants, the city is asking for a contract consisting of $140,000 per year over three years or $125,000 per year over five years.

The selected applicant will have naming rights to the stadium and will have the sponsor’s logo on the ballpark’s scoreboard and two entrances. The sponsor’s logo will also appear on the Shuckers’ website in place of the former MGM one and will be on display on any promotional material for events at the stadium.

Bids must be submitted to city officials before 10:00 a.m. February 28. The city’s selection committee will review each proposal and select an acceptable bidder to submit a formal request for proposal. The term sheet for any potential sponsor can be found here.
