Brookhaven teen arrested after allegedly shooting at police

A teenager is in custody after allegedly shooting at police in Brookhaven.

According to the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to assist Brookhaven police with an incident at Jackson Square Apartments on North Jackson Street. Deputies had received reports of shots fired at officers at the scene.

The subject, identified as 19-year-old Kriston Ramsey allegedly fled the complex on foot and was captured hours later following a search conducted by multiple law enforcement agencies in collaboration with one another.

Ramsey, who was wanted on an auto theft charge, was taken to Kings Daughter’s Medical Center for treatment after sustaining an undisclosed injury. No officers were injured throughout the incident.
