While the full SEC schedule reveal will take place this afternoon at 6 p.m., Mississippi State and Ole Miss now know their week one opponents.
For Mississippi State, the Mike Leach era will begin on the road with a matchup against the defending champion LSU Tigers. The new-look Bulldogs will travel to Baton Rouge to face a Tiger team that lost a Heisman-Trophy winning QB and 13 other starters, in addition to co-offensive coordinator Joe Brady & defensive coordinator Dave Aranda.
Lane Kiffin’s first game roaming the sidelines for the Rebels will be home game against Florida — one of the two additions made to Ole Miss’ schedule following the move to a 10-game, conference-only model.
The Rebels opened fall camp today after learning that senior C Eli Johnson has decided to opt out of the 2020 season.
The 2020 season will kickoff on September 26th.
