A Mississippi Gulf Coast voting precinct was hit by a car during Tuesday’s primary elections.
According to a report from WLOX, a car crashed into the Grace Baptist Church in Ocean Springs and left one person injured.
The person injured is currently being treated at a local hospital.
Grace Baptist Church will remain open as a precinct until the polls close at 7 p.m. As long as you are in line at or before 7 p.m., you are legally entitled to cast a ballot.
Additional Election Day Reminders
- In-Person Voting: Polls for the August 8 elections open at 7 a.m. and close at 7 p.m. Any voter in line before 7 p.m. is legally entitled to cast a ballot.

- Camera Phones: Voters are prohibited from taking pictures of their marked ballot.
