Nearly 2,000 cases of Coca-Cola products have been pulled from the shelves in Mississippi, Alabama, and Florida.
Confirmed by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), the contaminated beverages run the risk of having “potential foreign material.” Alabama-based United Packers, LLC recalled the soft drinks on Nov. 6.
Of the 12-pack cases recalled, 1,557 were Sprite, 417 were Diet Coke, and 14 were Fanta Orange. The cases’ “best by” dates were Jan. 29, 2024, for Diet Coke and July 29, 2024, for Sprite and Fanta Orange.
The FDA is encouraging anyone who owns drinks with those expiration dates to avoid consuming and throw away immediately.
